InMode Fractora

The Ultimate Non-Surgical, Non-Invasive Skin Renovation In Fredericksburg

Dr Terri Morris of glowMD Laser MedSpa at The Dermatology Center is pleased to announce the addition of InMode Fractora Radio Frequency facial treatments to the practice. She knows that one of the greatest concerns for patients is the appearance of their skin. Wrinkles, saggy skin and poor skin quality can lead to loss of confidence and being self-conscious. No matter how diligent your skincare and sun protection efforts, internal changes within the body will eventually appear in the form of fine lines, wrinkles, and loss of elasticity. Fractora uses radio frequency energy delivered through fractionated micro-pins to resurface, tightens the skin, and is one of the newest non-surgical solutions for aging and acne scarred skin.

What is Fractora?

Fractora skin treatment is a fractional rejuvenation and resurfacing treatment that reduces wrinkles to slow the effects of aging and restore skin to its youthful appearance. Fractora helps you achieve a more youthful appearance.

What Areas Can Be Treated?

We use Fractora for skin resurfacing on the face and neck that exhibit wrinkles, discoloration or acne scarring. For our patients who need just a little skin tightening, Fractora can be used for skin firming as a non-surgical neck lift, to tighten the skin under the eyes and for sagging skin on the face. Improved tone, texture and tightening can be achieved with the Fractora.

How Many Treatments Will I need?

Depending on your Fractora treatment regimens, you can expect 1- 6 sessions.

How Quickly Will I See Results?

Visible results are seen immediately, but typically the most noticeable results are noted approximately six to eight weeks after the procedure, with improvements continuing up to three to six months after treatment. Immediately after treatment you can expect to see micro lesions and slight redness for 1 – 3 days depending on your individual treatment.

What Is The Benefit of Radio Frequency Treatments?

RF energy heats the deep layers of the skin in a controlled way to revitalize the collagen. Fractora treatment will improve skin complexion and texture for a more radiant and youthful appearance.

How Soon Can Makeup Be Applied?

Makeup can be applied 1 to 2 days after the treatment. Patients should expect to see micro lesions a few days after treatment and slight redness for up to 1 week depending on treatment parameters.

What Type of Aftercare is Required?

It is recommended to use glowMD Bio-Repair Therapy for 2 weeks after treatment. We also insist that patients use a good, broad spectrum sunscreen every day. In addition to reducing their future risk of skin cancer, sunscreens also reduce wrinkles and slow the aging process.

InMode Forma

Designed to improve the appearance of the skin, making it smoother, tighter and more radiant.

WHAT IS FORMA?

Forma by Inmode uses radio-frequency technology to provide optimal skin contraction in the deep layers of your skin. Radio-frequency energy will stimulate the formation of new collagen and improve skin elasticity for long-lasting improvement.

HOW DOES FORMA WORK?

Forma works by using radio-frequency technology to contract the skin in its deepest layers, stimulating collagen production and providing long-lasting skin elasticity. It is carefully monitored to ensure that all targeted areas receive equal attention.

IS FORMA FOR ME?

Forma is suitable for all skin types and is appropriate for individuals seeking a non-invasive and a natural looking approach to improvements in skin tone and texture irregularities. Patients have reported that their skin feels smoother and more defined, and a reduction in wrinkles.

WHAT AREAS CAN BE TREATED?

Forma is used on the face. Commonly treated areas on the face include forehead, crow’s feet, upper eyelids, lower eyelids, nasolabial folds, jowls, smile lines, and neck.

WILL IT HURT?

Forma is an essentially painless procedure with no downtime due to its precise technology and deep-layer targeting of the skin. Slight redness in the treatment area is common post procedure, which subsides within a few hours.

HOW MANY SESSIONS ARE REQUIRED?

It is recommended that weekly sessions are performed over a six-week period. Individuals with mild laxity may be treated in fewer sessions with more weeks between each treatment. Scheduling should be based on a medical pre-evaluation.

InMode Lumecca

Lumecca is the most powerful intense pulsed light (IPL) now used to improve the appearance of the skin. It improves the complexion by reducing skin irregularities with photothermolysis, a comfortable light treatment, Lumecca works on many types of imperfections of the skin, such as freckles, age spots, sun damage, vascular lesions (spider veins, port wine stains), and the redness of rosacea.

A Lumecca photofacial has been shown to improve the clarity of the skin in just one to three treatments, producing a more even skin tone and more youthful appearance. Lumecca is safe and effective for use on almost all areas of the body. It is most commonly used to treat regions regularly exposed to the sun, such as face, neck, decolletage, legs, hands and arms.

It is important for patients preparing for a Lumecca treatment to avoid direct sun exposure for a month prior to treatment. The procedure itself involves a bright flash of light during which the patients experiences a mild sensation of tightness. Afterwards, the skin is temporarily warm and red for about an hour. During the next 24 to 48 hours, pigmented spots may appear darker, but during the following week these pigmented lesions will flake off, and the skin tone will even out. Vascular lesions may also temporarily change coloration, but will then fade and disappear.

While improvements to the skin are visible within a few days of Lumecca treatment, the skin will continue to look younger and more glowing for up to two weeks. Pigmentation improvements are usually visible more quickly than vascular ones; both will be optimal after about 2 weeks. For many patients, having multiple photofacial sessions will improve the final result. The only side effects of Lumecca treatments are the redness and warm skin immediately following the sessions. Patients are advised to avoid sunlight immediately of treatment.
