The Gold Standard for Healthy Skin

VBeam Vascular Laser vein treatment is a pulsed dye laser that is currently the gold standard for the treatment of many conditions that have an underlying cause related to vascular blood vessels. These conditions include rosacea, facial veins, early scars, acne scars, red birthmarks, port wine stains, angiomas, and uneven coloring of the neck. This laser vein treatment is safe, very comfortable, and creates incredible results by targeting hemoglobin, the red protein in blood cells in the blood vessels, without damaging surrounding cells or tissues. To learn more, reach out to us at our Fredericksburg location and speak with a member of our team to set up your initial consultation.

What Can VBeam Vein Treatment Address?

VBeam's laser vein treatment is safe for all skin types, however, it has been found to be most effective on pale skin, as the wavelength of the laser is blocked by the melanin (pigment) in more pigmented skin. You’re likely a great candidate for this treatment if you’re interested in addressing the following issues at our Fredericksburg location:

  • Rosacea: VBeam helps seal off spider veins to control flushing and redness.
  • Facial Spider Veins: This treatment dissipates enlarged or broken veins on the cheeks and around the nose.
  • Scars: VBeam will take the red out of acne scars, injury scars, or red surgical scars making them less noticeable.
  • Red Birthmarks: This treatment addresses hemangiomas and port wine stains.
  • Angiomas: The VBeam can remove the tiny “drops of red” that can appear anywhere on the body and often trouble women on their chest.
  • Venous Lakes: VBeam shrinks this dark blue vascular “bubble” on the lip, face, or ear.
This treatment is also great for warts and noncancerous growths.

How Does the VBeam Vascular Laser Treatment Work?

The VBeam Laser Vein Treatment System delivers an intense but gentle burst of yellow light to your skin. The light is specifically absorbed by the blood vessels in the dermis. When the blood vessels are heated, they coagulate and are then reabsorbed by your body during the natural healing process. The entire process is quick, surprisingly easy, and very comfortable. During your consultation, we’ll tell you everything you need to know about the treatment and what you can expect from the experience at our comfortable Fredericksburg location.

Is VBeam Vascular Laser Safe?

Pulsed dye laser treatment is so safe that it has been used successfully for the treatment of port wine stains in infants and young children. There are specific instructions you will need to follow before and after a laser treatment, and we’ll ensure that you’re given everything you need to know during your initial consultation.

Will There Be Downtime?

After your vascular laser treatment in Fredericksburg at The Dermatology Center, the treated area may bruise or have red discoloration at the treated area. The bruising will go away in a few days. You will need to refrain from exercise for 48 hours after treatment and sleep on two pillows for the first night following treatment. Swelling will likely be present for several days, or perhaps longer in some cases.
