Facial Fillers

Fillers are injectables designed to replace volume, add contour, diminish lines, reduce asymmetries and achieve a liquid face lift. JUVÉDERM® fillers are the top filler choice of Dr. Terri P Morris and her associates. The JUVÉDERM® fillers are comprised of hyaluronic acid which is a natural sugar complex found in our skin tissues.

Being an injectable filler, JUVÉDERM® fills volume loss while BOTOX® Cosmetic relaxes lines on the forehead, between the eyes and crows feet.  At glowMD Laser MedSpa,we consult with patients first to understand their cosmetic goals and then carefully plan a goal that is suitable for them.

During treatment, the JUVÉDERM® is safely inject the in the desired areas of the face. JUVÉDERM® is a quick and easy procedure with almost no pain and there is virtually no recovery period required. However, just like with any other type of injectable, there may be slight bruising and swelling at the injection site. Fortunately, these are the two most common side effects.

As we age, our skin loses volume from certain parts of the face and this can cause features of the face to sink and droop. JUVÉDERM® has all the right qualities to treat these areas. Below are some common places where JUVÉDERM® is used:

  • Midface: to restore volume loss
  • Lips: to provide hydration, provide structure to thin lips and plump for fuller lips
  • Vertical Lip Lines: that extend off the lip border around the mouth
  • Nasolabial Folds: lines that run from the nose to the sides of the mouth
  • Marionette Lines: creases that stretch from the sides of mouth to the jawline
  • Weak chin: to add contour and volume to a weak or recessed chin

Is Juvederm safe?

The FDA noted that while JUVÉDERM® is safe for use, some patients in clinical trials experienced side effects of mild redness, swelling, tenderness, lumpiness, bruising, or itching at the sites of the injections. Overall, patient love fillers! You will achieve instant results and a very nice improvement.

Dermal fillers correct the signs of aging, but this treatment cannot stop the aging process altogether. To maintain wrinkle-free skin, you will need to commit to multiple injections, or the face will return to its original state. Unlike a facelift, this treatment does not remove sagging skin. Dermal fillers can be used in combination with the Botox injection.

Restylane® is a range of Hyaluronic Acid based dermal filler products which safely and effectively reduces nasolabial folds, marionette lines and wrinkles. Restylane is a dermal filler designed to restore volume beneath the skin using hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic Acid (HA) is a substance that is naturally found in your skin and is plentiful when you are younger. As we age and lose hyaluronic acid, your skin becomes more likely to wrinkle or fold. Fillers replenish your skins supply and fills lost volume.
It also adds volume to smooth out diminishing jowls and improve jaw lines and eye areas as well as improving the overall skin appearance.

Restylane® is an internationally leading product family for aesthetic beauty treatments. The products are used for smoothing out wrinkles and lines, for filling out and shaping lips, defining facial contours and improving the quality of the skin.
